SECOR evaluations look for records showing the program is in use. With ACSA, that means at least three months of documentation, so start using your forms right away. When you’re ready to submit, our SECOR Evaluation Prep reviews your records and evaluation first.

Who it’s for
- Alberta employers eligible for SECOR. With ACSA, that means no more than 10 employees at any time in the past 12 months, counting owners, managers, part-time and temporary workers and volunteers.
- Contractors whose clients now ask for SECOR or a written safety program.
- New businesses setting up their first health and safety program.
- Small employers in BC or Saskatchewan: ask us about a starter manual built to your province’s requirements.
Not included
- The SECOR courses your certifying partner requires. With ACSA, that’s Principles of Health and Safety Management for SECOR plus one industry course.
- Certifying partner registration, membership or review fees.
- Your SECOR evaluation itself. Our SECOR Evaluation Prep reviews it before you submit, starting at $999 + GST.
- Extra hazard assessments (from $195 each), extra safe work practices (from $125 each) and site visits (from $750 per half day). We confirm these in writing before any work begins.
- Employers with more than 10 workers, who need a full COR program. We quote those after a COR Gap Review.

Is the price fixed?
Yes. The Starter Safety Manual Package is $1,995 plus GST for the scope on this page. If you need more, extra hazard assessments start at $195 each, extra safe work practices at $125 each and site visits at $750 per half day. We confirm add-ons in writing before any work begins.
Does this package get us SECOR?
We can’t guarantee that your company will obtain SECOR. The package gives you the written program SECOR is built on. You also need the courses your certifying partner requires, records showing the program is in use (with ACSA, at least three months of documentation), and a SECOR evaluation reviewed by your certifying partner. If that evaluation raises any issues with the work we delivered, we’ll help you resolve them at no additional charge.
What does your service warranty cover?
If your COR or SECOR audit or evaluation raises any issues with the work we delivered, we’ll help you resolve them at no additional charge. We can’t guarantee that your company will obtain COR or SECOR, because your certifying partner makes that decision based on your audit or evaluation.
Who qualifies for SECOR in Alberta?
With ACSA, SECOR is for employers with no more than 10 employees at any time in the past 12 months, counting owners, managers, part-time and temporary workers and volunteers. Other certifying partners set their own rules, so check with yours.
What if we have more than 10 workers?
You will need a full COR program instead. We quote COR programs after a COR Gap Review of what you already have, starting at $1,995 plus GST.
Is the manual generic?
No. Your manual is set up with your company name, logo and profile, and your hazard assessments, safe work practices, job descriptions and equipment inventory are written for your business.
Do we have to meet with you?
No. You can choose a one-hour meeting with us, or complete our submission document on your own time and send it back. We use either one to customize your manual.
Can we edit the manual ourselves?
Yes. You receive editable Word files and PDF copies, and they are yours to keep current as your work changes.
How long does it take?
Timing depends mostly on how soon we hold your one-hour meeting or receive your completed submission document. We give you a delivery date when we confirm your scope.

- Our Starter Safety Manual Package, recommended for SECOR, is $1,995 plus GST. Other consulting is quoted per project after the first conversation, so you know the scope and cost up front. Online courses are priced per learner, starting at $24.99, with group quotes for 10 or more workers.
- Do you work with small businesses?
- Yes. Many of our clients are small and mid-sized employers without a full-time safety department, including contractors, manufacturers, non-profits and clinics.
- Can you help with COR, audits and training too?
- Yes. We conduct COR audits and help with COR and SECOR preparation, safety manuals, hazard assessments, compliance audits, emergency response plans, incident investigations and contractor prequalification in ISNetworld, Avetta and ComplyWorks. We also offer online courses including WHMIS, TDG and OH&S leadership. We can’t guarantee that you’ll obtain COR or SECOR, but we warranty our service: if your audit or evaluation raises any issues with our work, we’ll help you resolve them at no additional charge.
